Mónica Santos
Mónica is a director, educator and illustrator. She has a BA in Sound and Image, UCP, Porto. After winning a Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation scholarship, she took an MA in Communication Art & Design at the Royal College of Art in London, where she learned to tame lions and other furry animals.
She’s currently taking a PhD in Cinema Studies and getting, on the process, her shortsightedness definitely worse.
Having shown her work in London, France and Portugal, she was selected for Europe’s Young Creators Biennale in the field of video.
In illustration she is represented by Who Agency (Portugal) and Napa Illustrations (Finland).
She is now a furry animal.
